FAMILY SUPPORT

Families & Schools Together (FAST): For families with Kindergarten children. FAST is a collaborative prevention and parent involvement program designed to strengthen the parent/child relationship and to enhance the child's functioning in school, in the home and in the community. Offered in partnership with neighborhood schools, FAST is a nine-week program that meets three hours per week.

Guiding Good Choices: For middle school families. Guiding Good Choices is a five week program designed to increase family communication and bonding and to decrease the possibility of adolescents using drugs and alcohol.

Love & Logic: This six-week program is designed to help parents raise kids in a way that provides loving support while at the same time expecting kids to be respectful and responsible. It is facilitated by a certified Love & Logic instructor.

Active Parenting: Padres Activos de Hoy is an interactive video-and-discussion program that will help Spanish-speaking parents learn how to encourage cooperation, courage and responsibility in their children.

Too many are not ready to enter school and fail once they enter, are physically unfit, engage in negative behaviors, or are a victim of abuse and neglect. We must do more!

Alcohol, Drug & Violence Prevention

The Partnership's roots lie in violence prevention and efforts to reduce alcohol, tobacco and other drug abuse. These problems evolved over decades, and changes in attitudes and behaviors do not happen quickly. Yet, our local and regional programming has made a difference.
