Transportation Collaborative
The guiding principles of the Collaborative Initiative at Community Partnership include the need to reduce duplication of effort and address gaps in services. The Transportation Collaborative worked diligently to engage a community dialogue centered on transportation as an economic development tool. The emerging priorities discussed at this forum were in line with the mission of the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization known locally as OTO - Ozarks Transportation Organization. Members voted to support their efforts in enhancing transit services in Greene County and avoid any duplication of effort.
To further support this regional organization, transportation collaborative members are participating on the Ozarks Transportation Organization’s Human Services Coordinated Transit Advisory Team. This committee works to improve transportation services for vulnerable populations within the region, including seniors and the disabled. Coordinating transportation for seniors to reduce isolation and enhance access to quality of life activities is a high priority both the Senior Link Collaborative and the Transportation Collaborative.
