The Collaborative Initiative
Collaboration opens the door for voices representing unique and diverse populations in a community to be heard; the more voices, the better the chance of developing viable solutions and strategies to the problems that face our community. Collaboration bridges gaps, whether generational or social, merging resources to address issues that affect everyone.
The Community Collaborative Initiative at the Partnership embraces this as a guiding philosophy. The Collaboratives act as a catalyst for action and long-lasting community change by facilitating issue focused collaborative groups. We believe that the input and involvement of these collaboratives are vital for identifying and solving complex community issues that we face in Southwest Missouri. Currently, we facilitate six collaboratives who oversee more than 15 subcommittees.
For the community as a whole, the work of the collaboratives is invaluable. We have reduced duplication, identified and filled gaps in needed resources and worked together to raise the standard of living and quality of life for all inhabitants, past and future of Springfield and the surrounding area.
