Robert F. Harris, the originator of the Task Force site, is a practicing psychologist in the United States Federal Bureau of Prisons and is a nationally recognized expert on such topics as cults and satanic gangs. He is an active member of the Midwest Gang Investigators Association and travels throughout the United States discussing the gang phenomenon.
Mike Carlie, webmaster for the Task Force site, is a professor of Sociology and Criminal Justice at Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. His specialties are the study of prisons, police, and street gangs. In addition to teaching in that university's criminal justice program he has served and continues to serve on a variety of city, county, state, and federal justice-related boards and has published a variety of articles in such publications as Deviant Behavior and The International Journal of Comparative Criminology. He is also the co-editor of Prisons Around the World (William C. Brown Publishers, 1992).
