Neighborhood and Community Initiatives
At the heart of the Partnership is the belief that facilitating positive change, while building the capacity of communities, agencies, neighborhoods and individuals, will lead to long-term measurable outcomes. Our neighborhood and community initiatives are centered around the notion of using ideas and resources in new ways to strengthen communities and the residents who live there.
Through Caring Communities, one of 21 state-funded partnerships, we leverage dollars at the local level while facilitating programs and strategies that effectively support and strengthen families and youth, and build strong, safe neighborhoods. The six collaboratives, (Education, Health, Transportation, Housing, Senior Link, and Environment) and their 500 members, act as a catalyst for action and long-lasting community change by identifying and solving complex community issues.
Through partnerships with cities, counties and community organizations, we bring needed people to the table, develop solutions and help secure resources to address emerging community issues and concerns. While much of this work is done through our Caring Communities and Collaborative Initiatives, a great deal of work in done outside of these.
Community Partnership is recognized statewide as a leader in the art of collaboration and we are well known for our ability to maximize resources and leverage dollars to achieve outcomes. Staff and volunteers serve on many boards and task forces – local, regional and state – allowing us to glean new ideas from others, share our expertise and keep our pulse on the issues and needs of the communities we serve. Our work on these boards and tasks forces also helps assure that we pool our efforts to avoid duplication of services.
