Programs for Families

Safe Crib Program

One of the main priorities of the Partnership is to keep children safe in their homes. One of the best ways to keep an infant safe is by sleeping them in a crib that meets the safety standards set forth by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. Too many babies have died as a result of unsafe sleeping practices. We are a participating agency in the Safe Cribs Project of Springfield, co-sponsored by Cox Health and St. John’s Hospitals and funded by the Missouri Children’s Trust Fund. Eligible families may receive a crib, mattress, and other related items if they meet program guidelines and income eligibility. Contact Dana Carroll at 888-2020 or by email for more information.

Baby and Me

In an effort to assist young parents with the difficult job of parenting, the Partnership offers programming to young parents and their babies. Parents who meet eligibility guidelines receive home visitation and group meeting services monthly. Parent meetings are held around a variety of topics from child development, health and safety, oral health, stress management, and brain development and include a meal, parent child activities and an informational session. Interested parents should call 888-2020 for details about enrollment.
