UNDERAGE DRINKING TASK FORCE

The Underage Drinking Task Force (UDTF) is a great example of collaboration, targeting adults who condone or provide alcohol to minors, retailers who sell to minors, and of course, the kids themselves. Over 40 members representing all sectors meet monthly to analyze data and devise strategies to promote positive change through community education, intervention and environmental strategy initiatives. The ultimate goal is to create a new community norm where alcohol use by minors, and provision of alcohol to minors, is considered unacceptable. Tremendous progress has been made, but we must continue to build upon our successes.

Community & Capacity Building

Community and capacity building is about using ideas and resources in new ways to strengthen communities and the residents that live there. As good stewards of our ever shrinking federal, state and local resources, we recognize that community and capacity building is not a luxury, but a necessity.
