VICTORY CIRCLE PEER SUPPORT GROUP

A new coalition to our prevention team is the Victory Circle Peer Support Group for men in recovery. This group has built a handball court in Nichols Park for use by area youth and adults, assisted with neighborhood clean-ups, and focused their prevention efforts around the Building Block model. This new group has combined muscle, invention, and faith in their quest to build a stronger community.

Community and capacity building is about using ideas and resources in new ways to strengthen communities and the residents that live there. As good stewards of our ever shrinking federal, state and local resources, we recognize that community and capacity building is not a luxury, but a necessity.
