Through a partnership with the Missouri Division of Youth Services (DYS), we provide one-on-one mentoring to youth. We promote healthy youth and families by building positive mentoring relationships, facilitating meaningful community interactions, and fostering consistent family growth.
We assist youth with completion of treatment plan goals from getting a job to being law-abiding citizens in our community. We also strive to provide stability and increase daily structure in their lives while providing support to their families. Our hope is to increase support to the families and help provide a feeling of connectedness to their community.
Along with mentoring, we also conduct three groups at Excel Community Resource Center. The groups include a cooking group, art group and girls group. These groups meet weekly and provide a safe and positive alternative for youth who are attending Excel. Youth in the community are also encouraged to participate in any of these groups.
